ARTIST bio - Short
Greg Parrott has been described as “American roots without the boots.” Raised in LA (AKA Lower Arkansas) on Johnny Cash and Delta blues, and influenced early by his father, legendary regional bassist John “Bully” Parrott, he forged a sound that blends Southern rock grit, blues, country storytelling, and roots-driven acoustic grooves. A songwriter, studio engineer, and multi-instrumentalist with a four-decade career, Parrott writes lived-in songs shaped by the swampy influence of John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Today he brings that road-worn sound to the stage with BUCK-DEERE, his gritty acoustic rock, blues, and country-folk duo known for raw guitar, tight harmonies, and storytelling that turns any room into a community.
